First Steps for Self Care
1. Start with a journal.
It can be a notebook or an actual journal or blank sheets of paper. As long as it's physical and not on the internet or your phone you're good. Write in it every day. In your journal track:
What makes you happy and feel energetic
What makes you sad/angry/feel tired
2. Open your mind to change.
If you're not ready for change then this isn't for you. Let go of whom you believe you are in your mind and let go of feeling like you need to be in constant control
3. Acknowledge your environment.
An important part of finding peace in yourself requires a healthy environment. If you're not in a position where that's possible, try to find your 'happy place' and go there as often as you can to be alone.
4. Find your role model.
You need someone in your life who will be honest and support you. This is someone who is supportive and improves your life by being a positive mentor.
5. Be ready to put in hard work.
In order to change your life it takes practice every single day. It will include reading, challenging yourself, and checking in with yourself daily. Are you ready for that commitment?
